1Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you're a student, your institution may also provide us with a student ID number. We use this to set up your account and communicate with you about courses, exams, and platform updates.

Learning Data

As you use StackNoble, we track your progress through courses, quiz scores, assignment submissions, and exam results. This data is only visible to you, your instructors, and administrators at your institution.

Exam Proctoring Data

When you take an exam using our secure exam app, we may collect webcam recordings, screen activity, and violation logs to maintain exam integrity. This data is collected only during proctored exams and reviewed solely when there's a concern about exam integrity.

Technical Information

We automatically collect certain technical data including your IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction patterns. This helps us keep the platform running smoothly and fix issues quickly.

2How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our learning platform and exam services
  • Track your progress and generate reports for you and your instructors
  • Send you important updates about courses, exams, and your account
  • Maintain exam integrity through proctoring when enabled
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and keep our systems secure
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

3Who We Share Your Data With

We don't sell your personal information to anyone. We only share your data in these limited circumstances:

Your Institution

If you're using StackNoble through a school or organization, we share your learning data and exam results with administrators and instructors at that institution. They need this information to manage courses and evaluate student performance.

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party services for hosting, video streaming, email delivery, and analytics. These providers only access the data they need and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of StackNoble, our users, or others.

4How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication and password hashing
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Strict access controls limiting employee data access

While we do our best to protect your information, no system is completely secure. If you notice any suspicious activity, please contact us immediately.

5Your Rights and Choices

Access Your Data

You can view most of your information directly in your account dashboard. If you need a complete copy, contact us and we'll provide it within 30 days.

Update Your Information

You can update your profile anytime in your account settings.

Delete Your Account

Contact your institution's administrator to request account deletion. Note that we may retain some information for legal or record-keeping purposes, such as maintaining exam records.

6How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Exam proctoring recordings are typically kept for 90 days after the exam, unless there's a dispute. Course completion records and certificates may be retained longer for verification purposes. When we no longer need your data, we securely delete it.

7Students Under 18

If you're under 18, you should use StackNoble only through your school or with parental consent. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 without proper authorization. If we discover we've collected such information without authorization, we'll delete it promptly.
